Todd Boehly, a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, is thought to be the favorite to become Chelsea’s new owner. Todd has long admired Chelsea and now has the chance to invest in the club.
Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck were major figures at Chelsea during Abramovich’s tenure, and sources say that Boehly intends to retain them on when the sale is completed.
Julian Knight, the leader of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, has cautioned that people associated with Abramovich should not be permitted to remain in charge of Chelsea.
Knight told the Financial Times that any continuation of the Abramovich regime at Chelsea is
“definitely a worrisome development. To guarantee that everything is done correctly, there must be clarity surrounding the procedure.”
