There is consistent pleas from Chiefs fans on social media to go and get former Mamelodi Sundowns and current Al Ahli Saudi head coach Pitso Mosimane to revive the club’s glory days.

The desire from fans to get Mosimane stems from the fact that the former Al Ahly coach has been linked with an exit despite leading Al Ahli to promotion to Saudi top flight league.

The South African multiple-league winning coach has made startling revelations that he, the technical team and players have not been paid their salaries for months.

The first month I got paid, the second month, I had to wait for two months and it has been like that,” Mosimane told Arabian broadcast show, In The Goal, as per Kickoff.

“I’ve never received my salaries every month (on a consistent monthly basis)…we are going to the fifth month now. The last time me and my technical team, even the players, everybody, got paid was in January.

“So we haven’t been paid but it’s unbelievable, it’s a beautiful story of players who haven’t been paid. I think we are owed about eight or nine match-winning bonuses. With no salaries, we were beating teams that get salaries.”

With Mosimane’s stay uncertain at Al Ahli and having money issues at the club, should he leave Saudi Arabia, the South African tactician may consider a job that would give him stability.

Pitso Mosimane replies to Kaizer Chiefs links in the Premiership

Mosimane has challenged himself to push the boundaries and further his career by moving to territories no South African coaches are reaching.

However, following the latest challenge in his career, perhaps he could consider a job that would offer him financial security.

Chiefs are in need of an experienced coach to get them back to contending for titles and if Mosimane can revive the Glamour Boys, that would still put him on the map as a serial winner.
