This week, Mauricio Pochettino, the new manager of Chelsea, will hold talks with Levi Colwill in order to outline his ambitions for the defender this season.
Several clubs are interested in Levi Colwill, including Brighton, where he spent last season on loan and where a £30 million summer deal to sign the 20-year-old was rebuffed.
Meanwhile, Levi Colwill was a key player in England’s U21 European Championship victory.
Following their Euro successes, and are both scheduled to leave, with Colwill also likely to fit in his talks with Pochettino.
Pochettino spoke with Colwill and Madueke before Saturday’s final against Spain, which Lee Carsley’s team won 1-0.
Pochettino stated at his unveiling on Friday:
‘We talked with Levi and Noni yesterday. Noni from Tottenham’s Under-18s is one I know. Of course, I had no idea who Levi was, so I introduced myself. I gave them the best of luck for tomorrow.
‘It’s true that it’s difficult for me because the final pits Spain against England. I wish them all the best. We’re waiting for them to join the team; I believe they’ll join us the day we fly to America.’
