Due to injuries at the back, Bashir Humphreys has found himself playing a lot of preseason minutes for new manager Mauricio Pochettino, and he’s incredibly impressed.

According to his comments on the Chelsea website, it’s not just the games that have been challenging; training has also been difficult.

“For one reason or another, this is the first full preseason I’ve done.” I’d always heard about how pre-season went, how you did this and that. But this is the end,” Humpreys stated, according to the club’s official website.

“Getting bullied in training every day is a mental challenge,” he stated. ‘Especially within the organization, to maintain that mentality since no one really wants to do it. It’s not stimulating, and it’s not enjoyable.

After healing from his injury, he will most likely go on loan once the tour is finished; whichever club he chooses, it appears that he will be fit and ready for the new season.
