According to his agent, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has been linked to a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Mngqithi’s contract with the defending dstv Premiership champions is about to expire, and the coach was demoted at the start of the previous season, therefore rumors of his departure have surfaced.
Mngqithi started the season as a co-coach with Rulani Mokwena, but was demoted to senior coach when Mokwena became the team’s only head coach.
Some Dstv Premiership clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs, have been mentioned as potential destinations for Mngqithi, the Brazilians’ senior coach.

The Soweto Giants have struggled recently under Arthur Zwane’s leadership. They finished seventh the previous season, losing out on the CAF Champions League and failing to break the club’s trophy drought.
Some members of the Amakhosi movement want Zwane sacked and maybe replaced by Mngqithi.
Mngqithi’s agent, Mike Makaab, has responded to rumors that his client may be leaving Sundowns for Amakhosi, and has supplied extra context on the coach’s status with the latter.
According to Makaab, no other team has expressed interest in hiring the coach because his present contract expires in June 2024.

Makaab also stated that if anything needs to be discussed, they will meet with the coach to determine what to do next.
According to his spokesperson, the coach intends to stay with the Brazilians until June 2024.
