Gary Neville, a former Manchester United defender, has chastised Manchester City’s players for failing to spot Erling Haaland’s runs during their dreadful performance against Tottenham.
Tottenham: Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester City 1-0 thanks to Harry Kane’s 267th goal.
Kane now has more goals than Jimmy Greaves at the club.
City’s Riyad Mahrez came closest to scoring, but his shot hit the crossbar.
Haaland had been kept unusually quiet due to a lack of service.
On Sky Sports, Neville chastised City’s players for “ignorantly” ignoring Haaland’s runs in-behind the Spurs defense and along the channels.
“Haaland is making the runs, he’s ready to go, City players just aren’t playing them,” Neville said.
“It’s incredible how many runs he makes that go unnoticed.”
