By hijacking a deal for one of their main targets, Rowan Human, Mamelodi Sundowns may be about to deal both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Chiefs and Pirates are both thought to be big fans of Human, with Sundowns also rumored to be interested.
Human was one of Bafana Bafana’s star players in the recently concluded COSAFA Cup, netting their opening goal in a 1-1 tie against Namibia. Human was also the player who scored the game-winning penalty, giving South Africa a bronze medal on home soil in their third/4th playoff encounter versus Malawi. The race for his signature between the Chiefs, Pirates, and Sundowns is anticipated to heat up soon.
The Chiefs were the first team to be linked to the player, with links appearing two months ago. They were hoping to sign him for free at the moment, but then they learned that the KZN club had exercised their option to extend his contract for another season. Pirates then joined the hunt for Human, and according to this magazine, they were in talks with Maritzburg about doing a double deal for both the 22-year-old and his partner in crime, Karim Kimvuidi.
Around that time, the links to Chiefs began to fade, but the player began expressing on how open he would be to joining Amakhosi. Furthermore, he revealed that he is in daily contact with club vice-captain Keagan Dolly, who lives in his neighborhood. This magazine indicated just last week that Amakhosi had now taken the lead over Pirates, as well as any potential interest from Sundowns.

Sundowns has surpassed Chiefs and Pirates in the Human rankings.
This publication stated on Wednesday that Maritzburg values Human at R10 million for either Chiefs, Pirates, or Sundowns. According to Soccer-Laduma, the Brazilians may have the best chance of signing the star due to their financial clout.
