The American Business man, Todd Boehly has granted permission to go on with his Chelsea purchase by the UK Government on Wednesday
Chelsea are prepared to dive straight into the transfer market after the UK Government granted them the long awaited approval.
Todd Boehly completed a $5B purchase to become owner of the reigning European Champions.
With expectations already round his next to make the side greater than their former owner, Roman Abramovich did, Boehly has vowed not to relent.
The LA Dodgers owner is commended for his great investments into Dodgers and turning the side to a terror in the eyes of opponents.
Chelsea wish to compete on same level with Liverpool and Manchester City and Boehly is willing to produce the proper backing financially.
He has been disclosed to be mapping out €200m to hand Tuchel in order to strengthen the squad.
Todd Boehly set to kick-start Chelsea transfer plans ahead of summer
Ahead of the summer window, an excited Todd Boehly was quizzed on the chances of Chelsea completing huge deals;
“I think loyalty programs, whether it’s Vivid Seats, Dodgers, Lakers, Chelsea, we’re all thinking about how do we have direct customer relationships that we can then build upon. And if a form of that comes in a ‘tokenisation’, then so be it,” Boehly said.
“If you want to buy stock in the Green Bay Packers, that to me is ‘tokenization’. You have no rights, you have no control, but you can say you have an ‘interest’ in the Packers.
“And if we have direct access to our fanbase, we can start thinking about lots of tiers of different fans that want different products. So we’re starting to think a lot about what is that we want to really give our ‘super fans’ and how do we develop fans.”
The Brazilian was a transfer target for the Blues but he preferred a move to Barcelona instead and Chelsea are said likely to go back in his pursuit.
A deal around €50m could convince PSG into letting him leave Parc Des Princes after the Parisians decided against Neymar will on his departure.
“The news is open to everyone to see and I can’t claim blind to them,” Todd Boehly continued when asked about the Neymar to Chelsea trend.
“He is a big player, one many teams would love to have. Am here in the club now and we will do whatever thing that is needed and advised by the manager, I see him as one of the bests.
“If he says, Neymar is the man, am sure I will shake the earth with his transfer cause it’s gonna be one of the greatest transfer deals of a new era.
“We want to be able to compete strongly for trophies and the time I spoke with Tuchel, he says a bigger stronger squad can achieve us this aim but maybe not in the next season but time taken, we will be there.
“Building a stronger Chelsea squad is at the top of our list and we will do what it takes to reach that level we envisage.”
No doubt, Chelsea has reached an agreement with Sevilla defender, Jules Kounde on a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer window and announcement will be made once everything is in place.
