According to latest reports from an insider within Kaizer Chiefs, there will be a crunch meeting with the club’s top brass on Wednesday, 24 May.
The meeting will definitely decide the future of Arthur Zwane at the club. Zwane had a disappointing maiden season at Naturena as their first team head coach.
The former Amakhosi development team coach lost 12 out of 30 matches and therefore the club will have to make a decision if Zwane is the right man for the job for the 2023/24 campaign.
According to the insider within the club, the club’s management might decide to bring in a senior coach to assist Arthur Zwane next season should he stay, but the insider also revealed that Zwane are not willing to work under that kind of coaching system, therefore he could likely leave his position as the head coach of Amakhosi.
But, who will be eligible and experienced enough to be appointed as a senior coach at Kaizer Chiefs should Zwane accept to work under a coaching partnership.
“There is talk of wanting to bring in a senior coach to assist Zwane, but it seems that the coach is not keen to work under that kind of system, which could see him leave,” the insider said.
Kaizer Chiefs football club had gone eight years without winning any trophies and should they opt to go for a coaching partnership like Mamelodi Sundowns did at the start of the 2022/23 campaign with three coaches, there might be some noticeable change in the results and performance of the club.
Whatever the club decides in the crunch meeting on Wednesday, it should be for the better of the club as supporters already shown their frustrations after Chiefs loss to SuperSport United when their race for CAF Champions League qualification ended.

So Zwane might stay and work with Dillon Sheppard again or there could be a senior coach assisting him next season or he could leave and a new coach might be appointed, its all in the hands of management now on what the final decision will be regarding their coaching setup for next season.
