Chelsea were held to a stalemate at Old Trafford earlier tonight, as they played a 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Chelsea were the dominant team for most of the game, but failed to convert their chances into goals in the first half as their key players kept missing the opportunities that fell to them.

In the second half, Marcus Alonso’s volley broke the deadlock but Christiano Ronaldo’s moment of brilliance restored parity and was the climax of the event tonight.

Starting Recee James At Centre Back:

Thomas Tuchel made a terrible mistake tonight like he did against Arsenal when he decided to play Recee James as his right centre back.

The attacking fullback could have done a job in creating chances for his club if his sole job was to run around the wings as the wing back providing crosses for the likes of Werner and Kai Havertz. The few times James went forward, he created something beautiful as he even came close to scoring till the post came to United’s rescue.

This decision is terribly shocking, as Tuchel can easily play young Chalobah as his right centre back and allow James the room to run around the wings as an attacking wing-back.

2) Kai Havertz’s substitution:
Tuchel took out Kai havertz in the second half despite his brilliant assist for Marcus Alonso in that half.

Havertz was the only Chelsea player that made runs that led to them creating chances, but the manager decided he would serve him better on the bench.

The wonder Havertz would have scored that last minute goal against Newcastle if he was treated like he was tonight by Thomas Tuchel.
