Premier League giants Chelsea Football Club after much negotiations, have finally reached an agreement with Benfica to Argentine star star Enzo Fernandez.
Enzo Fernandez: Both clubs are now running to get the documents signed before the end of the January transfer window as it’s finally agreed.
The deal is believed to worth around £120m, as Chelsea agreed to reach the release clause.
Also on the release clause, After lots of negotiations with Benfica, Chelsea agreed to reach the release clause on different payment terms, with the payment made in installations instead of triggering it as that would keep them on a better position as regards the FFP rules.
Also important to note that there is no issues on the player’s side as personal terms have been agreed weeks ago, on a seven and half year contract with an option for and extra year.
Enzo Fernandez is expected to add a dynamic personality to the Chelsea squad, with his ability to score goals and create goalscoring opportunities from the Midfield.
The signing of Enzo Fernandez would make it Chelsea’s 8th signing of the January transfer window with The Blues having already completed the signings of Benoît Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, João Félix, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Malo Gusto.
