Chelsea rebuild continues, even though Todd Boehly heavily spent last summer to bring in key players like Sterling, Koulibaly,Fofana, Aubumeyang and Cucurella. The blues are still inconsistent as compared to league rivals Manchester city and London rivals Arsenal.

They lost their opening champions league group stage match against underdogs Dinamo Zagreb, which led to sacking of Tuchel who was replaced by Graham Potter. Chelsea embarked to winning form, after Gallagher’s late minute stunner against Palace.

Boehly has already started the plans for next summer’s transfer window, and according to The Athletic UK football correspondent David Ornstein,24 year old Christopher Nkunku have signed a pre-contract agreement to join the blues. It’s understood Chelsea are committed to pay above €60m release clause to secure the deal.

Todd have moved ahead of Liverpool and PSG who were expected to rival for the Frenchman, after several bids were turned down by Leipzig last summer.
