Mykhailo Mudryk was substituted at halftime during Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with west London rivals Fulham on Friday, according to Graham Potter.
Graham Potter: The £88.5m signing, who impressed during a brief cameo away at Anfield last month, was replaced at half-time by fellow January arrival Noni Madueke.
Mudryk had the fewest touches of any outfield player during his 45-minute stint against Fulham, all of which proved ineffective before he was substituted.
Despite having a plethora of expensive attacking options in the squad, the Blues were unable to overcome a well-organized Fulham, who have now taken four points away from their neighbors this season.
Chelsea is now in ninth place in the Premier League, two points behind Fulham, but wins for Liverpool and Aston Villa on Saturday will knock Graham Potter’s team out of the top half of the table.
“He’s had a heavy cold this week, and he was feeling heavy-legged,” Potter said of Mudryk’s fitness.
