Without a question, Chelsea’s star right-back Reece James was caught off guard when he underwent a precautionary scan on his knee just days before the club’s pre-season tour in the United States, the US.
Reece James has been plagued by injuries over the last few seasons, severely restricting his playing time. He made only 26 Premier League matches in the 2012/13 season, a figure that plummeted to 16 last year owing to a hamstring injury that ended his season prematurely.
Meanwhile, Simon Johnson, a sports journalist, turned to Twitter to provide an update on James’ status.
Despite the recent concern, Johnson claims that the defender is in good health. The scan was performed as a precaution, and James is expected to join his colleagues on Chelsea’s preseason trip.
“According to Nizaar Kinsella, Reece James got a scan after feeling some soreness in his knee. But I’m informed he’s well and ready to go on the #CFC preseason trip.”
