Chelsea and Liverpool kick off their Premier League seasons at Stamford Bridge, seeking to improve on last season’s results.

Chelsea, on the other hand, has continued to slash and replace its lineup as owner Todd Boehly swings transfer deals throughout the world.
As both clubs want to kick-start a revitalized league season, one could see the new season begin in a negative manner.
Lineups for Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Both teams are suffering with injuries, but Chelsea is in a considerably worse predicament as the season begins. The preseason tour in the United States was not kind to new manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was missing a number of key players.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has entirely retooled his central midfield for high expense amid claims that Liverpool cannot compete financially with the other Premier League powers.
