Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has been given a one-game ban by manager Mauricio Pochettino after he received another yellow card during a Premier League match against Aston Villa.
Nicolas Jackson had already received four yellow cards for dissent before the match. However, he was booked by referee Jarred Gillet for standing close to the ball to prevent goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez from taking a free-kick.
Jackson’s suspension comes after he was sent a warning by Pochettino over his indiscipline on the pitch. Argentine Mauricio Pochettino had discussed with Jackson about his lack of discipline and asked him to stay cautious.
Meanwhile, Jackson was asked to protest the four yellow cards and talk with the referee, as it was seen as easy and cheap.
Pochettino believes that Jackson’s actions could put the team in a difficult situation if it continues. Jackson’s suspension will prevent him from playing against Fulham on October 2.
