According to The Athletic, youth coaches have compared Hutchinson’s profile with Hazard due to his close dribbling style and explosive pace on the ball. And a recent man-of-the-match display in the Chelsea Under-21s EFL Trophy clash with Leyton Orient proved the hype is somewhat justified.

Collecting the ball from deep, Hutchinson raced forward past two defenders and confidently executed some stepovers before smashing high into the top corner from the edge of the box. Then, he showed another burst of pace to get in behind the defence and cross for his team-mate Mason Burstow to tap home.

The youngster, formerly on the books at Charlton, has only been at Chelsea for the better part of four months. But there is already a feeling Hutchinson has outgrown youth football at the age of 18 and he is being tipped to make the next step up to senior football, with a loan move in January likely.

He received a glowing review from Under-21 coach Mark Robinson, who has backed the promising forward to show his potential at Stamford Bridge:

Omari has been fantastic. When you are a young player and you make that change of club, there is a lot of pressure on you,” he said.

“When he first came in, he probably felt that pressure, the big expectations on him moving from Arsenal and coming across to Chelsea. I think, in his early performances, there was that pressure. But as time has gone on, you are seeing him relaxing more and more and he is really starting to show the player he is going to be.

“I am really pleased with him. For us as a club, it’s just a case of helping him overcome that expectancy and pressure when things aren’t quite coming off for him. I think we have done that and he will agree we have done that well. We are now starting to see what a talented lad he is.”

Chelsea, in the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League, UCL, with a win over Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday, and will get Graham Potter the chance to fully rotate his squad for the final group match against Dinamo Zagreb.

Huge boost for all Chelsea fans as Potter invite Abu, Brooking and others at Cobham training camp

No doubt, Chelsea manager, who is currently 47-year-old expected to set the ball rolling as he can to save his stars for important matches before the World Cup, Hutchinson could be the one to benefit.
