Graham Potter will be hoping for a victory in order to improve his team’s ranking in the group. Potter however, should address the following two issues ahead of tonight’s game:

1. Defensive flaws

Despite signing world-class defenders, Chelsea has not kept a clean sheet in their last seven games. The majority of Chelsea’s goals have come as a result of poor decisions in defending set pieces.

Chelsea must address set piece defending, and they must also be aware of Milan’s quality players, such as Rafael Leao, who have devastating pace and skills to cause problems for any defensive line in Europe.

2. Problems with goal scoring

Chelsea’s offense is questionable, with only 83 shots in comparison to the top six clubs. Man City has 140 shots, Arsenal has 138, Liverpool has 132, and Newcastle has 127.

Those fewer shots in the division have only resulted in ten goals, indicating that Chelsea are still struggling with chance creation, as Manchester City and Arsenal have 29 and 20 goals, respectively.

Morning huge reports from Chelsea

Potter will need to find a clear-cut edge tonight in order to win the game.
