In preparation for the next 2023–2024 season, Premier League giants Chelsea will be eager to bolster their roster. The Blues are in desperate need of strengthening their goalkeeping department this summer transfer window after losing first-choice goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to a different team.
The west London powerhouse have completed the signing of Spanish and Brighton shot stopper Robert Sanchez for £25m plus add-ons & he has signed a long term deal with the club. The 25-year-old has vast experience in the English game, having come up through the Seagulls’ academy ranks, and he will therefore be a reliable backup to his compatriot Kepa.
In other developments, negotiations between Chelsea and Brighton are still continuing on for highly regarded midfielder Moises Caicedo. United States goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina will be permitted to leave Stamford Bridge on a loan agreement with the arrival of Robert Sanchez.
